I am Ron Burgandy?

Second successful time getting on the blog and I am not going to let it go to waste. We visited the capitol and were able to catch short glimses of the statues before being rushed on byour tour guide. We then posed for inconspicous photos in front of the capital. I enjoyed hearing chuck todd speak a lot but I enjoyed watching a girl dressed in bright pink suit withwhite gloves fall asleep and drewl in the middle of the audience a lot more. Its interesting to hear all the different lingo that everyone has here. Apparently in dc they say “hawk” like “bro you better stop hawking me before you make like cream and get whipped” or “I swear if you hawk me one more time I’m going to put you up for adoption, adopt you, then just physically abuse you.” I’m still not sure exactly what “hawk” means, but I still have another night to figure out. On a side note, Im a little disappointed that I missed the free Dave Chappelle show in portland on wednesday. Having a good experience so far,

To make up for not writing in the blog for the first two days of the conference I will summarize them from memory.

Day 1

We arrive at a beautiful campus to intense temperatures and mediocre humidity (thats right I go against the grain). I met my teacher adviser Lauren, who made us brownies. After dropping my luggage off at the presidential sweet, I attended a tour of the campus led by two student volunteers. George Mason University has a very cool campus full of art and statues. The confrerence then treated us to a catered dinner in a dinning hall that made Shawshank look like disney land. Seriously it could have made goofy clinicaly depressed. Once we shook off the serious case of the blues it was time to attend our first lecture given to us by the head of cspan, although I think he suffered a mild stroke and thought he was attending a speech given by us. Thats all I can remember for now.
